Introduction

At any point in our life, music can be a sort of gateway drug towards the brain. What I mean is that music can give us more than just giving us a good sound to hear, it’s more like a nostalgic feeling in our minds. But have we ever wondered how it may affect other people with a unique symptom such as mental disorders? There is knowledge of special medication that can be beneficial for their disorders but isn’t there another way to resolve without using heavy amounts of drugs? In other words, can’t we just use a different type of method to resolve a common conflict with their symptoms? Such as music therapy, which can be an outstanding form of treatment for mental disorders. Music therapy can be defined as a way to let our emotions run free that positively help us change the way of our physical and our mind. Let us introduce the variety of disorders that would be considered treatable with this therapy; schizophrenia, dementia, and Alzheimer’s. Also, the more common ones which would be anxiety, depression, PTSD, and etc. From this we can interact of the process of music therapy, which indicates the understanding of the serval trials that scientists have been experimenting with. Therefore, we can also link the outcomes; the beneficial solution, or even the problematic failures that these disorders can possess.
